It’s month three of Canada Colour, and if there’s one theme that’s emerging, it’s this: building trust takes time.
When we launched, the idea was clear. Create a beautiful, seamless experience—clean design, fast checkout, strong value, and prints that reimagine provincial pride. But the hard part? Getting the word out. Not just exposure, but conviction.
And that’s where the data comes in.
Every day, I check in on how our Meta ads are performing. We’re looking at what really matters: who’s clicking, who’s adding to cart… and who’s leaving. And the truth is, lots of people are engaging with our work, but not as many are checking out.
That gap? It’s the trust gap.
We’ve learned that building a brand is more than having a great product. It’s about answering the silent questions shoppers are asking before they ever hit “Buy.” Questions like: Can I trust this company? Is the quality real? Will this feel special when it arrives?
So we’ve been iterating. Adjusting our visuals, refining our landing pages, and tweaking the copy. We swapped in more meaningful music. Enlarged the flags in our ad creative. Added the Canadian anthem as a nod to nostalgia. And each small shift brought results—more engagement, higher return on ad spend.
But the most important shift? Emphasizing real reviews from real buyers.
Reviews, especially from verified purchases, are a game-changer. They’re not just testimonials—they’re credibility. They show future customers that someone else took the leap and was glad they did.
We couldn’t rush this part. It takes time—time for our first sales to be printed and shipped, time for customers to live with the work, and time to follow up with care. Every review we receive is the result of an entire customer's journey: from consideration to unboxing to reflection.
It's been a challenge. We're testing different platforms and services, scrutinizing metrics we didn’t even know existed three months ago. Wondering how much to reinvest. Navigating economic uncertainty.
But we remain focused. Not just to sell prints, but to create something lasting. Something that reflects where we’re from—and invites others to feel that connection too.
So if you’ve clicked, browsed, or even just considered us—thank you. We’re building this one print, one cart, and one review at a time.
